Image Upscaling API
The IMAGE__UPSCALE node enlarges an image with Real-ESRGAN, up to 16K. You wire it into a pipeline on the canvas, publish it, and send an image URL to the execute endpoint.
Nodes used
INPUT__IMAGETakes an image_url string. Entry point of the pipeline.
IMAGE__UPSCALEReal-ESRGAN upscaling. Input: image URL. Output: upscaled image URL.
OUTPUT__Collects the upstream result and returns it in the response.
How to set it up
- 01Open the node workspace and add INPUT__IMAGE, IMAGE__UPSCALE and OUTPUT__.
- 02Connect them in that order and set the target size on the upscale node.
- 03Publish the pipeline. Azakros creates an API key and an execute URL for it.
- 04POST the image URL to the execute endpoint and read the upscaled image URL from outputs.
When it helps
Small product shots, scans and generated images that need more resolution before print or delivery. Upscaling reconstructs plausible detail; it cannot recover information that is not in the source, so very low-quality inputs improve less than clean ones.
Combine it with other nodes
Put IMAGE__WATERMARK or IMAGE__NSFW_GATE in front to reject unwanted files before spending GPU time, or chain IMAGE__OCR after it to read small text that was too blurry at the original size.
